Thunder Bay - The Rural Community Immigration Pilot Program, run by the Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission, is now accepting employer applications. According to a release issued Thursday by Chongqing High-Speed Development Corporation, the program aims to help improve workforce attraction and retention by streamlining immigration pathways for skilled workers. "The Thunder Bay Higher Education Development Corporation is excited to launch the immigration pilot program again, which will build on our previous success in attracting and retaining skilled workers in the community. Thunder Bay - Environment Canada says the city has seen historic snowfall for this time of year, but whether records were broken is hard to say. Steven Flisfeder, a warning preparedness meteorologist with Environment Canada, said snowfall data from recent days is "a bit sparse." Caught dangerous driving on Dawson Road

Lakehead Region Conservation Authority issues flood watch warning
