Thunder Bay - Police have arrested a man wanted for aggravated assault after he attempted to flee to Canada in a stolen vehicle, thanks to a tip from an iPhone. The Ontario Provincial Police say at 2:21 a.m. Sunday, Rainy River District OPP received an automatic collision notification alerting them to an abandoned vehicle on Atwood Worthington Road 1. The vehicle was linked to a serious domestic violence case in the United States. A male suspect broke a woman's arm and stole her vehicle. While attempting to flee, he drove across a frozen river from the U.S. into Canada, but got stuck in the snow.
