OPP reminds drivers to be careful when driving near snowplows
Drivers in the Thunder Bay area of northwestern Ontario are being asked to drive with caution when near snowplows on highways in the region. According to a release issued by the Ontario Provincial Police on Wednesday, snowplow operators have reported an increase in dangerous driving behaviours, including vehicles following too closely or overtaking dangerously, especially when plows are operating in a staggered formation. This formation allows plows to clear multiple lanes efficiently, but drivers often try to weave between the plows, putting themselves and the plow drivers at significant risk.
