RCIP Current Policy Analysis

The specific RCIP rules have not been released yet. Based on the current requirements on the official website, considering that the main users of this site are Chinese residents in the Thunder Bay area and Lakehead University students, the main hurdle for us is finding an employer that meets the requirements.

Based on the results of the previous RNIP pilot, the employer must be a registered employer. A registered employer must have been in operation for 2 years, or if not in operation for 2 years, must be an employer with significant local influence.

Regarding this point, when looking for a job, try to find large local companies. Avoid the situation where you finally find a job, but the employer does not meet the requirements, or the employer is unwilling to meet IRCC's requirements for you (based on the previous AIP rules in the Maritime provinces, the employer needs to submit a series of documents to meet IRCC conditions for the employee). This alone should discourage many employers.

At the same time, based on past experience in the Thunder Bay area, priority will be given to allocating 200 spots to healthcare services.
