Environment Canada issued a snow squall warning for Thunder Bay at 11:14: due to a fast-moving low-level cold front moving south, heavy snow is expected to hit Thunder Bay within the next 1-2 hours, with gusts up to 70 m/s (Force 8) in open areas accompanied by low visibility, and the ground will quickly turn white. Based on current radar, we estimate the snow will reach downtown Thunder Bay in about half an hour. Please take precautions.
Rose N Crantz Roasting, a boutique coffee shop with the roastery in the back. I saw on the map that it's close to Lakehead, so I stopped by on the way and ordered a latte. When I got there, they told me the espresso uses a blend of three beans from a single origin called Mexico. As the name suggests, it's from Chiapas, Mexico. I'd never had beans from that region back home, so I didn't have high expectations. But the first sip woke me up—the fruity acidity was very prominent, mixed with smoky nutty flavors, and the body was heavy, making it instantly distinctive. It's probably the most flavorful latte I've had in TB so far.
