Mike's Roadhouse: A perfect encounter of American-style BBQ ribs and fried chicken wings!

Recently, my friends and I decided to try a highly-rated American restaurant - Mike's Roadhouse.

Ambience and Service
Unlike the American country style I imagined after seeing the name, as soon as you walk in, you can feel the modern design. Micro-cement floors, large-screen TVs everywhere, and stylish light fixtures, paired with relaxing music, instantly put you at ease. The servers were very enthusiastic, patiently introducing the menu and recommending several signature dishes.

BBQ Ribs: Tender meat, rich sauce
The BBQ ribs are one of Mike's Roadhouse's signatures, and they truly live up to the reputation! The ribs are grilled to a crispy exterior and tender interior, and the meat easily falls off the bone with a gentle pull. I chose the Honey Garlic sauce, which is sweet with a hint of garlic, fully absorbed into the meat, making every bite satisfying. The portion is generous, perfect for meat lovers!

Fried Chicken Wings: Crispy outside, juicy inside, perfectly seasoned
The fried chicken wings are equally impressive! The skin is fried to a golden crisp, while the chicken inside remains juicy. Unlike typical American wings that are sweet and salty, these fried wings have a pepper-salt and pepper flavor, leaning more towards Chinese-style fried wings.

At the same time, the combo came with two sides, and we chose french fries and a vegetable salad.

French Fries: Thick-cut fries fried to a crispy exterior and soft interior, sprinkled with a bit of salt, perfect with ketchup.

Vegetable Salad: Refreshing and cuts through the grease, paired with a sweet and sour dressing, balancing the richness of the ribs and wings.

Price
This combo is around 25 CAD, and if you swap the wings for steak, the price is around 32 CAD. Currently, there is no tax on food purchases. Considering the ambience and the quality of the food, the overall price is worth a try!
