Snowfall will reach 25 cm

Thunder Bay - Don't let the warm weather fool you. Winter is far from over

Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Thunder Bay Wednesday evening, saying the area could see up to 25 cm of snow from Thursday night to Friday morning.

Total snowfall of 15 cm is expected, with some areas possibly seeing more.

At the heaviest times, snowfall rates could reach 2 to 4 cm per hour.

The snow is due to an Alberta clipper expected to move across northwestern Ontario, with the heaviest amounts in higher terrain, especially near Thunder Bay.

The weather agency said the snow could make travel difficult, with highways, roads, sidewalks and parking lots hard to navigate.
