City clears snow in preparation for Scottish dogs

Thunder Bay - As the Scottish Women's Heart Stone Championship kicks off on Friday, the city will be clearing snow in the Fort William Gardens area this week.

The City of Thunder Bay said in a news release Monday that it will be "conducting a major snow removal" and advised residents and drivers that road closures and temporary traffic disruptions may occur in the surrounding area.

Crews will work to ensure "the safety and convenience of event attendees and participants."

The tournament will feature 18 teams from across the country competing for the Canadian Women's Curling Championship. The final will be held on February 23.

Shuttle service to Fort William Gardens will also be available during the tournament.
