Sleeping Giant's parking fees are shocking

Thunder Bay - The outdoor skating trail at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park east of Thunder Bay is "first-rate" and you can enjoy it to the fullest, but don't forget to bring your wallet.

Provincial officials are reminding park users that even in winter, all "vehicles entering the park must purchase a daily vehicle permit at the park office or up to five days in advance on the Ontario Parks reservation website."

The daily parking fee at Sleeping Giant is $15.50.

Meanwhile, a provincial parks spokesperson said the skating trail on Marie Louise Lake in Sleeping Giant Park is currently 400 metres long and in "good" condition.
