RCIP Thunder Bay stops drawing from the food service industry and adjusts part of the NOC occupation list.

Update on Sales and Service: Effective immediately, the Sales and Service Sector has closed.  We will not be accepting Recommendation Applications from this sector for the remainder of the 2025 year as we have met our 15% cap for this Sector. We will also not be accepting any new applications from Employers to be Designated within this Sector. Please look for updates on this Sector in early 2026.

Update on NOCs: Effective immediately, the following 4 NOCs will be added as a priority for our community:

33100 – Dental Assistants and Dental Laboratory Assistants

33101 – Medical Laboratory Assistants and related technical occupations

74202 – Air Transport Ramp Attendants

73300 – Transport Truck Drivers – includes Short-haul and Local Transport Truck Drivers; excludes Long-haul Transport Truck Drivers – log books for routes must be shared at the time of application

These NOCs will be removed as we have not seen the demand for these NOCs:

11102 – Financial Advisors

31204 – Kinesiologists, Therapy

41300 – Social Workers

31301 – Registered Nurses  

Designated Employers interested in supporting candidates with job offers in the recently removed NOCs can reach out to the CEDC as they may still be eligible for a RCIP recommendation.
